Albury Airport is undergoing a multi-million dollar upgrade at present. Albury Airport have been actively working with Southern Cross Developers to minimise impact on our customers. This project will see the airport terminal building's footprint more than double in size. The concrete pours for the new ground slab has been completed and now steel works has commenced.

The total project budget including design costs is $4.7M. This is being jointly funded from the Restart NSW Fund ($3.3M) and by Council ($1.4M).
Staging of Works
- Stage 1 - completion March 2018
- Stage 2 - completion end of April 2018
Key features of the project include;
- a bigger arrivals hall
- dual baggage carousels
- larger departure lounge
- an outdoor courtyard
- reconfiguration of the café/bar
The upgrade will alleviate passenger congestion, especially in the arrivals and departures areas during peak periods, as well as accommodate for future passenger growth as a result of projected increases in visitors to the region.
Work is due to be completed in mid 2018.
The airport will remain open and fully operational during the construction period.
