Flying Drones in Albury

23 November 2016

Drones sales are predicted to be high for Christmas gifts but do you know the rules? When flying drones or model aircraft recreationally, you need to follow these simple drone rules to keep everyone safe.

The Civil Aviation Safety Autority (CASA) mandates the use of UAV/RPA’s and model aircraft in regard to the proximity of aerodromes. They are not allowed within 3nm (5.5kms) of an airport, or above 400ft elsewhere. Watch the video below or read more about the rules on flying drones/remotely piloted aircraft in Australia from the CASA website.
