QantasLink announces additional flights
11 March 2016
QantasLink is adding more flights between Albury and Sydney in response to increased passenger demand.
From 26 April, the airline will be adding a daily return service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. The new flights will depart Sydney at 10.25am, landing into Albury at 11.45am, and then departing Albury at 12.15pm, arriving into Sydney at 1.35pm.
QantasLink CEO John Gissing said the increased schedule was in response to customer demand.
"We know having frequent services throughout the week is important to the local Albury community, which is why we're pleased to offer our customers these additional services," Mr Gissing said.
The airline has seen a steady increase in demand from leisure and business travellers wanting more options throughout the week to travel between the two cities.
The additional flights means QantasLink will add up to 300 extra seats between Albury and Sydney each week.
Once the new schedule is implemented, QantasLink will offer 25 return services per week.
QantasLink has been serving the Albury community for almost 16 years.
