Remaining works include the placement of base course, final trim, prime, asphalt and line marking. We are undertaking some night works when working in close proximity to the runway.

The staged program is to minimise the construction footprint airside of the terminal, and have minimal disruption to airline services. We’re thankful to our airport users for their patience during this time.

This major face-lift with reconstruction will improve three of our aircraft taxiways. The contractors for this airside works project are Antoun Civil who will reconstruct Taxiway Charlie, Alpha & Echo. The works program typically involves 12 hr days (6am-6pm) Monday-Friday.

Works are part of the Albury Airport Masterplan which provides a long-term strategy to meet growing demand for passenger services, emergency and Defence aircraft and aviation-related business expansion. For more information on the master plan visit our Albury Airport Master Plan Page

Albury Airport is a gateway not only to Albury-Wodonga but also to the wider area so by improving the taxiways we’re laying important groundwork that will support businesses and leisure travellers across the entire region. The project follows the completion last year of a major upgrade of the airport to deliver an expanded arrivals hall and passenger lounge, a new baggage carousel and the upgraded Uiver CafĂ© & Bar.
